Meet Bass' New Board of Directors

THROUGH BASS' TRANSITION OF FINDING A NEW PRESIDENT, A NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS APPOINTED TO LEAD BASS INTO ITS NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH AND PROSPERITY.

SHELLEY BAUM

Shelley M Baum, Lancaster County Native, mother of three, grandmother of three (soon to be four). Founder of Bass, along with husband, Aldus Baum who passed away unexpectedly in 2014. As the Owner of Bass, she has seen the business through incredible amount of growth and change, including originally a 2-person operation based out of her living room to what it is today, in a short 22 years. Having worked closely with her husband on every aspect of business was one of her greatest and most challenging events. Sharing the invaluable experiences of managing a family-owned business with her children and grandchildren has been very rewarding. Shelley is excited about the potential and opportunities on the horizon, as a unique company in the USA.


All-weather outdoor adventures with her dog, Maddox, is her favorite pastime. The pressure-washer and wheelbarrow are her favorite household tools. Though traditional encyclopedia is her mainstay for information, Google and YouTube has been a great technological advance.  “There is not enough time in the day to enjoy laughter, love, family and friends.” Live life to it’s fullest, be honest, genuine and true. “

 

JADE DUNIVANT

Jade, daughter of Shelley Baum, has been serving as Bass' interim CEO since January. Jade comes to Bass with a background in military leadership, having served as a logistics officer in the US Marine Corps and being deployed to Afghanistan from 2009-2010. She and her husband, JD (who also serves on Bass' board), have owned and operated their own small business and also have experience in the real estate market. Jade is honored to serve as the Chairman of the Board for Bass.

 

JD DUNIVANT

Until 2015, JD served in the United States Marine Corps as a KC-130 pilot and then test pilot. He recently moved with his wife, Jade and three (soon to be four) children to Lancaster from Kuwait, where he was an instructor pilot for the Kuwait Air Force. He will be flying for Delta Air Lines and will also continue to serve in the Marine Corps as a reserve KC-130 pilot out of New York. JD grew up in Arizona and Idaho. He loves being outdoors, skiing, mountain biking, weight lifting, and spending time with his family. He and Jade own a CrossFit gym in Maryland and have had some other business ventures over the past few years. JD is excited to serve on the Board at Bass and see the next phase of Bass’s growth.

 

TIM SHAWARYN

Tim graduated from Hempfield High School, Juniata College and the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. He has practiced law in Lancaster County since 2001 with a focus in the areas of estate planning, business succession, and charitable giving. He recently started Legacy Law, PLLC in November 2017 and works with numerous family businesses and farm owners. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, serving at his church, and coaching scholastic volleyball.

 

BRIAN SCHREIBER

Brian is a seasoned executive that has spent more than 35 years running operations at Fortune 500 companies. His first 30 years were spent at Scantron Corporation, Pearson Education, and National Computer Systems, where he managed multiple facilities exceeding 250 employees with annual revenues in excess of $70M. This included large scale high stakes testing production and compliance along with distribution operations. After departing Scantron, Brian was a General Manager for a Lancaster-based clean energy company for 4 years. Brain helped this company achieve significant growth over those years and it was acquired by a private equity firm in 2015. Brian now relies upon his operations management experience, relentless attention to detail, and quality work to deliver operational excellence. He started his own company providing fulfillment services in 2016. In addition to this, he provides operational consulting services to several local businesses. When he has spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid outdoors-man.
