The Transition: Family Honors Bass' History

AS OWNER'S SON STEPS DOWN AS CEO, DAUGHTER STEPS IN TO BE INTERIM CEO UNTIL POSITION IS PERMANENTLY FILLED

December 8th, 2017, Casey Baum announced his decision to step down as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 16th, 2018. After serving as Bass’ CEO for three and a half years, Casey made the decision to move to Colorado with his wife, Rebecca, to begin a career in investment real estate.

"I have had the great privilege of serving both my family and Bass since May 2011, and I couldn’t be more proud of the incredible team that we have built during my tenure as CEO" said Casey. "Bass is a company with a great legacy, mission, and culture, and I look forward to watching Bass continue to grow and evolve as a leader in the industrial contracting industry.”

The Baum family honors Bass' family business history by bringing in Casey’s sister, Jade Dunivant, as interim CEO until the position is permanently filled. Jade comes to Bass with a background in military leadership, having served as a logistics officer in the US Marine Corps and being deployed to Afghanistan from 2009-2010. She and her husband, JD, have owned and operated their own small businesses and also have experience in the real estate market. She will lead as interim CEO while an executive search firm aids Bass in finding a permanent CEO to further enhance Bass' strategies and to take the Company to its next phase of growth and development.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside the Bass family during this important time of transition. This business has been an important part of my family since I was eleven years old, and my goal is to ensure that Bass continues to grow and achieve great things while maintaining the culture and pride that is so evident from the moment you walk in the door” said Jade. “I am confident that we will find the right leader to continue this momentum and also protect and cultivate the positive work environment at Bass. I am looking forward to serving as the interim CEO until we find that perfect fit.”

For over 20 years, Bass has continued to adapt and grow. As we look forward, we will continue to provide a high level of craftsmanship, service, and company culture to our customers and employees.
