Bass Mechanical, Inc. is looking to add a Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metals Estimator to our Fabrication/Erection division.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive estimates for fabrication and/or installation for a variety of structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects.
  • Prepare detailed material take-offs, estimates, and proposals in accordance with the project requirements and required scope of work utilizing design drawings, specifications, and other associated documents.
  • Compose scope and bid letters and complete required bid forms as required, including all general and specific terms, conditions, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications as needed.
  • Follow-up with contractors and clients to obtain bid results and perform competitive analysis of our numbers to determine our position in the market.
  • After jobs are won, help Project Manager and Detailer with necessary items in order to get the job to the shop as quickly as possible.
  • In conjunction with the project team, executes project to meet schedule and financial goals.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful and verifiable experience estimating structural and miscellaneous steel and competitively bidding on a variety of public works, commercial, educational, medical, military, manufacturing, and other types of projects in a professional environment.
  • An understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards including AISC shop fabrication/erection, QC and material handling policies.
  • Experience with external customers, and have the ability to resolve customer issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • A working knowledge of Tekla Structures and Auto CAD software is desirable.
  • Must have basic computer skills such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

Bass Mechanical is looking for an experienced, self-starting, highly-motivated Mechanical/Millwright Foreman.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Studying blueprints, manuals and specifications
  • Gathering supplies needed for installation, dismantling, repairing of heavy equipment and machinery
  • Leading a mechanical team, and organizing tasks and workflow for efficient, on-time project completion

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Millwright and rigging experience
  • MSHA 46 or 48 experience is a plus
  • Welding certifications are a plus
  • Must accomplish objectives using safe practices and procedures
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance
  • Must be proficient with a working knowedge in hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Possess excellent interpersonnel communication skills in deatling with customers
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and make on the spot decisions in order to accomplish job objectives under tight deadlines

Candidate must have own basic hand tools. Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Candidate should be drug free, reliable, care about detail & quality, able to multi-task and follow directions. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently and able to work at heights without fear. Candidate must be able to travel up to 21 days straight.


POSITION OVERVIEW:

Bass Mechanical is seeking an experienced industrial electrician foreman. The Electrical Foreman will be capable of running smaller projects and service calls, with responsibility to oversee additional electricians as needed. This is a highly skilled position which includes troubleshooting and general electrical maintenance of manufacturing equipment, while placing a strong emphasis on safe work practices. Candidate must have the ability to lead a team, and organize tasks and workflow for efficient, on-time project completion.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•   Experience with all wiring methods associated with construction electrical work
•    Properly interpret code requirements regarding wire size, conduit size, de-rating over current protection, etc.
•    Able to use pipe threading equipment
•    Possess conduit bending and rigging skills
•    Proficient in Relay Logic, PLCs, AC/DC Drives
•    Strong troubleshooting skills
•    Read and comprehend various schematics including European versions
•    Instrumentation experience
•    Experience directing jobs and teams
    
Qualified applicant must possess computer skills including Microsoft Office. Should be service and customer-service oriented and show commitment to the job, demonstrated by appearance, tools and personal pride in work performed. Individual must be available for overtime and emergency call-ins. Must be able to do mechanical work when needed. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Position will include local projects as well as overnight travel (up to 20% annually).
